WHY I CHOSE MINIMALISM FOR MY BUSINESS

I have my reasons, okay. Of course, some people may question how I could possibly run a freelance business where getting a bit unorganized is bound to happen. True enough but for the last few weeks, I've devoted my focus to making things much simpler within my business this year... starting with my space.

Other than making the things around more less cluttered, I've begun simplifying my design process and all the tidbits into it.

3 Reasons I Chose Minimalism:

  • EASE OF DESIGN: I have a huge love for vibrant colors. It makes me happy. As of late though, I feel my personality has shifted towards more of the "simple life" aspect. I appreciate each time I see a photo of a beautiful office or a creative space I would LOVE to have. I'm able to create a space that allows me to keep it simple without putting so much thought into my own brand process. I noticed it makes my life a lot easier when I stick to modern black, white, with pops of color.

  • FRESH: There is something special about the color white in a space. In branding, white is almost always the safe go-to. Negative space creates so much symmetry. Thus, creating the feel of having a clear mind when I begin work. You know that feeling you get after you accomplish cleaning your entire home... that's how I feel when things are open, roomy, and ready for me to start the day.

  • STREAMLINE PROCESS: Minimalism has especially made my design process much easier. I've eliminated dealing with clients who no longer fit my business goals. I've also minimized the services I offer to focus more on my ideal clients. This has been a life-saver for me.

If you follow my business, you'll be seeing more and more of the new brand reveal as time moves forward. I can truly say I feel happy with the direction I'm moving in. Since implementing minimalism into not only my life (which I'm still working on), but in my business, I've seen an amazing increase in projects coming my way. I guess getting rid of things in your life and letting go of things you don't need to allow great things to come in is really a universal gift.
